About
A shared darkroom for a personal practice.
Photographers sharing the journey, not the score.
Findercraft gives enthusiast and working photographers a place to understand audience response in the context of their own work. It connects Instagram insights, photographic choices, and personal history without turning a practice into a ranking.
Inspiration Index
The Inspiration Index is a weighted measure of Instagram interactions, including saves, reposts, shares, comments, and likes. It is not a measure of artistic quality.
The photograph before the score
Insights can add context. They cannot settle a creative question.
A save, share, or comment may be worth noticing beside light, colour, format, and the story you chose to tell. It can help you ask what to look at next. It cannot establish why a photograph connected, predict what will work again, or measure artistic quality.
Progress in your own history
Milestones belong to a timeline, not a leaderboard.
Findercraft records dated audience events so they can sit alongside your own archive. They offer a way to recognise change and return to a period of work. They do not rank photographers, styles, careers, or kinds of practice.
Community through shared practice
Different approaches can live beside one another.
Photographers can choose to publish a folio and take part in shared briefs. These public spaces make room for process, context, and varied ways of seeing. Detailed audience insights remain in each person’s darkroom, and public folios only appear in the directory when their maker enables them.
What you can use today: your personal darkroom, optional public folios in Photographers, and shared briefs in Challenges. Access remains invitation-only.
